SC grants bail to Satyam's PWC auditor Tullari Srinivas

The Supreme Court granted bail to Tullari Srinivas, PWC-auditor of Satyam Computers Limited, involved in a Rs 7,000 crore scandal.

Srinivas had allegedly colluded with Satyam Computers chairman R Raju who is also in jail.

Raju and Srinivas alongwith others are facing allegations of defrauding lakhs of investors who had invested their hard earned money in Satyam Computers.

A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justices J M Panchal and B S Chauhan granted bail to Srinivas and directed him not to leave the country without prior permission of the court and also to surrender his passport to the authority concerned.

Earlier, counsel for the petitioner had submitted before the court that his client has been in the jail for a long time and has been thoroughly interrogated and is no longer required for investigation.

R Raju and Srinivas are also facing allegations of manipulating the accounts of the company to defraud the share holders.
